Trip to
Japan confirms pxidigital leads the world for speed and
quality
Top management for
pxidigital® recently returned from a whirlwind tour of Japan,
confirming that pxidigital® continues to lead the way as the
world’s premier kiosk for printing digital photos.
The pxidigital® brand is set to take the Japanese digital
processing market by storm with the launch of its new “pxidigital®”
processing kiosk which features imaging technology three years
ahead of its closest competitor.
In conjunction with selected partners, pxidigital® will launch over
10,000 kiosks throughout Japan providing the market with a product
that promises superior technology, coupled with customer turnaround
up to three times faster.
Mr Barrie Harrop, who led the trip to Japan, said the decision to
launch the product was realised after pxidigital® was proven to be
a better product than offered by competitors.
“Our product is the best
on the market as our pxidigital® imaging quality leads competitors
by about two to three years,” he said.
“We have the fastest customer turn around compared to Fuji film
Print-Ciao as well as vastly superior imaging quality",
noted Harrop.
The images are better
than mini lab quality and are printed in four seconds per 6" x 4"
digital print.
“We were confident our
product was excellent but we wanted to be sure we had the
competitive advantage before announcing the release. Extensive
testing has confirmed our belief and we are now set to provide
customers with the best digital processing system
available.”
Mr Harrop said one of Japan's largest corporations DNP had
indicated it was going to lead the on-demand kiosk print market by
expanding its current 700 "Print Rush" system to another 2,000 by
next spring but the launch of pxidigital® would impact this
prediction.
pxidigital® is a world class system and it is set to change the
market dynamics in Japan as our product has a huge competitive edge
as a result of its advanced imaging IP.
“We can process 1000
images per hour and our machines also have electronic payment
capabilities unlike our coin operated competitors. There is no
other system like pxidigital®.”
Mr Harrop said pxidigital® was more than a photo kiosk; the
self-contained unit was expandable into a complete ‘Digital Media
Hub’, with photo printing, editing and storing, as well as online
sharing capabilities.
“It accepts all forms of
digital media and is also compatible with mobile phones and Blue
Tooth devices. With internet access, pxidigital® also has the
ability to download MP3 and MP4 in the future,” he said.
The kiosk is easy to operate and has built-in features such as a CD
dispenser and CD burner, as well as a barcode reader which allows
customers to take advantage of marketing initiatives.
Mr Harrop said the launch of pxidigital® would also coincide with a
roll-out of 1200 on-demand kiosks from Fuji film and 1000 from
Mitsubishi.
“We are confident about
the success of our product and customer testing has already proven
its acceptance in the market place. This market will embrace our
product with open arms.”
USD$50 million has been invested in the early phase of the
pxidigital® kiosk venture. pxidigital® is currently fully
operational in Australia and is a franchised
business opportunity.
